“I made you a souffle, but it was too beautiful to live.”
Any Dr. Who fans reading this should understand the reference.
Today is National Chocolate Souffle Day. Unfortunately, I have not had any chocolate souffles to rave about recently, however I have a brand new souffle cookbook with a few I want to try.
You see, I am a fan of Doctor Who, and the girl depicted in the image above is Clara Oswin Oswald, she is the first long-haired, brunette companion in a long time (and the first one I have ever really liked), so I am working on her costume. Clara, is known for making souffles (and dying…repeatedly….). I have always loved to bake, so she has inspired me to try my hand at souffles, I just have not had a chance yet. Of course some of my first attempts will be chocolate souffles (and of course there will be pictures).
For those who are not baking inclined, there are plenty of restaurants that feature souffles as a desert item. I have not had any in a while to recommend one, but look up some local menus and see what is around you.
And if it is too late to have a souffle tonight, I give you permission to make this weekend “National Chocolate Souffle Weekend.”
