Happy National White Chocolate Cheesecake Day! Yes, another chocolate holiday, there are so many of them, isn’t it great!
As I opened up my browser to write this blog this morning, I realized that I really had never had any white chocolate cheesecake. I think California Pizza Kitchen used to have a White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake that I used to eat, but it was so long ago that I could not really write about that, especially since they do not carry it anymore (yes, I checked). So, I looked up the menu of the one place I KNEW would carry several options: Cheesecake Factory.
I ordered a slice of their White Chocolate Caramel Macadamia Nut Cheesecake. Pretty, no? Honestly though, I did not love it. It was good, but the taste of macadamia was far too overpowering for my tastes. Do not get me wrong, macadamia is my favorite nut, but I wanted it more as an undertone, while this drowned out the caramel, chocolate, and cheesecake flavor. If you LOVE nuts though, this would be a great dessert to try.
One thing I will say though, it did make it easier for me to limit my consumption to only a few bites, as this baby rings in at a whopping 1220 calories per slice. Yikes! While I like it, it is definitely not something that I would normally order to waste my calories on.
The other option that Cheesecake Factory had which I almost tried, was the White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle.
Know of a great White Chocolate Cheesecake? Let me know!
