For those of you residing in the United States (or any of the Americas, because I would abuse the lack of specification in this sense), we are now in the third full week of March, which is also known as American Chocolate Week!
How do you celebrate American Chocolate Week?
Well, of course there is the obvious, eat chocolate! Yesterday I finished up a dessert from my favorite Chocolate Cafe (more to come on that later this week), today I had two pieces of chocolate I also purchased from the same cafe, and tomorrow I have yet another piece of chocolate from them…in the shape of an EGG (because it is bunny candy season)! I am thinking Thursday I will go to Godiva for me free piece of chocolate, and Friday I may make the drive for some Nutella Crepes!
You could also make or go out for some chocolate fondue, one of my favorites. I always love to even just melt down some chocolate in a double broiler and drizzle it over some berries. If you do not have a double broiler, a small sauce pan inside a larger sauce pan works just as well.
If you have a chocolate fountain, crank it up on high.
Perhaps you would like to share the chocolate love as well, and throw a chocolate themed party (I have been to one…it was heaven), or go out with a group of friends to your favorite restaurant and all indulge in a chocolate dessert.
There are also chocolate attractions in various locations. Visit a Ghirardelli store, or a Hershey’s store, Hershey’s Chocolate World in Hershey, Pennsylvania, M&M’s World in Las Vegas, and if you look up chocolate attractions in your area, I am sure you can find something local.
If you ever needed an excuse to eat chocolate, you have a full week of excuses right now, so take advantage, and go eat chocolate!
